The 21st century has witnessed knowledge explosion with inquisitive young brains aspiring for excellence in all disciplines, where only sky is the limit. This is the dream of Mr. Jayanta Kumar Chakrabarty, the President of Rajendranath Group of Institutions under the aegis of Rajendranath Education of Welfare Trust, was established his credential as an entrepreneur and philanthropist. The Rajendranath Education & Welfare Trust was founded by Mr. Jayanta Kumar Chakrabarty in the year 2007 in the loving memory of his Father Late Shri Rajendranath Chakraborty at Gopalpur, Durgapur, with the sole aim of serving society in diverse fields ranging from education to health care.
In order to satiate the inherent quality of the students technically and methodologically, a Teachers Training College namely Rajendra Academy for Teachers’ Education was born in the year 2009 and today it expands its wings to offer courses like M.Ed, B.Ed & D.El.Ed to the students of locality which includes many poor & meritorious students to fulfill their dreams towards Teachers’ Education System in India followed by Rajendranath College of Polytechnic which offers 3 years Diploma in Electrical Engg., Mechanical Engg., Civil Engg. and Computer Science & Technology in the year 2012.
He has also takes initiatives in Industrial Era to open Industrial Training Institute (ITI) namely Rajendranath Engineering Private ITI in the year 2015 in a composite campus at Gopalpur, Durgapur which is located in the district of Paschim Burdwan. REWT spreads its wings as a composite education hub with a land of 18.89 acres with lush green Eco friendly campus and pleasant environment.
The next upcoming endeavor of REWT is a chain of Schools with secondary& higher secondary curriculum to be affiliated by Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE), New Delhi at Durgapur, Bankura & Murshidabad. REWT takes many activities to fulfill its social responsibilities by means of Blood Donation Camp, “Gyandarshan” a free school for poor primary students, Free coaching classes for JEXPO, VOCLET & JELET candidates, Free coaching classes for B.Ed, D.El.Ed & M.Ed students for NET, SLET & SSC exam. REWT offers special scholarships to poor & meritorious students to accomplish their dream to be a promising engineer, a teacher or a skilled technocrat.
